If you thought some Fortnite skins were gone for good, this latest Item Shop update proves otherwise. After more than four years, the rare Lok-Bot and Robo-Ray skins have officially returned, giving players another shot at grabbing two of the game’s most elusive original outfits.
First released back in 2021, both skins quickly became hard to find, making their return a big moment for collectors and longtime fans.
Lok-Bot and Robo-Ray Return to Fortnite Item Shop
These two skins are from Fortnite’s original creations, not tied to any blockbuster franchise like Marvel or Star Wars. That makes them especially cool because they stand out as classic Fortnite style. Robo-Ray first showed up in Chapter 2, Season 6, around April 2021, while Lok-Bot followed a bit later in Chapter 2, Season 7, around June 2021. Since then, they haven’t been seen in the shop, so players who missed out the first time now get a rare second chance.

— Shiina (@ShiinaBR) April 21, 2026 The Robo-Ray Bundle costs 1,500 V-Bucks and includes the skin, the Ray’s Smasher Pickaxe, and the BluGlo Injector Back Bling. If you just want the skin, it’s available for 1,200 V-Bucks and even comes with the Back Bling. Basically, buying the bundle only adds the pickaxe for an extra 300 V-Bucks.
Lok-Bot’s deal is pretty similar. The Lok-Bot Pack also goes for 1,500 V-Bucks and includes the Lok-Bot skin, the Lok Block Back Bling, and the Lok Pick Pickaxe. Like Robo-Ray, the skin alone costs 1,200 V-Bucks and comes with the Back Bling, meaning the pickaxe is the extra add-on if you want the full bundle.
Both bundles will be hanging around in the Item Shop until April 25, 2026, so you’ve got plenty of time to snag them. But knowing Fortnite players, these skins probably won’t stick around too long once they’re back.
Why These Rare Fortnite Skins Matter
While Fortnite is best known for its massive crossover lineup, original skins like Lok-Bot and Robo-Ray hold a different kind of value. They represent Fortnite’s own creative identity and often become rarer over time due to long gaps between shop appearances.
Their return adds a layer of nostalgia and excitement, especially for players who missed out in 2021. These aren’t just cosmetics, they’re status symbols in the community.
At the same time, the Item Shop is stacked with crossover content, including WWE icons like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker, alongside DC characters like Batman Zero and Catwoman Zero.

Don’t Miss This Limited-Time Comeback
With Fortnite’s Item Shop rotating daily, there’s no guarantee when these skins will return again. If Lok-Bot or Robo-Ray has been on your wishlist, this is the moment to grab them.
Rare Fortnite skins don’t stay rare by accident, and once they’re gone, it could be years before they show up again.
