Helldivers 2 is about to turn up the heat on April 28 with the Exo Experts Warbond, finally bringing some fresh firepower and heavy armor to the battlefield. This update isn’t just about new gear – it’s about strapping into powerful Exosuits that change how you play and survive in the galaxy’s toughest fights.
Two New Exosuits Lead the Exo Experts Warbond
The spotlight here is on two new Exosuit variants: the Lumberer and Breakthrough. The Lumberer is a fan favorite returning from the original Helldivers, packing a massive anti-tank cannon along with a flamethrower. Imagine raining down destruction on everything from tiny bugs to giant threats with this bad boy. It’s the kind of firepower that makes you feel unstoppable.
On the other side, the Breakthrough brings a different vibe. It’s built for frontline durability with a huge ballistic shield that’s not just for blocking – it can bash enemies up close. Plus, it fires a shotgun-like flak cannon, giving you solid offense while you tank the hits. If you want to be the wall your team needs when things get messy, this suit has you covered.
New Weapons and Armor Expand Loadout Options

The Warbond doesn’t stop at Exosuits. It also introduces new weapons that bring fresh tactical options to your loadout:
- SMG-203 Gallant
A one-handed submachine gun with a high fire rate and solid armor penetration. It’s ideal for fast, aggressive playstyles where mobility matters. - P-33 Missile Pistol
Fires lock-on missiles with strong impact. It requires a reload after every shot, so timing is key, but it can be a powerful secondary for taking down tougher enemies.
On the armor side, the update adds two new sets:
- O-2 Heavy Operator
Built for players who want extra protection without sacrificing too much mobility. - O-3 Free Spirit
A lighter, faster option that offers greater agility on the battlefield.
Both armor sets come with the Oxygenator passive, which boosts walking, running, and sliding speeds, helping you stay mobile in intense fights.
Release Date, Pricing, and What’s Included
The Exo Experts Warbond goes live on April 28 at 1 PM UTC (6 AM PDT / 9 AM EDT / 2 PM BST). You can pick it up from the in-game Superstore for 1,000 Super Credits, or use a Warbond Token if you already have one.
After purchasing the Warbond, you’ll still need to spend Medals to unlock all of its rewards. So if you’re aiming to get everything, it’s a good idea to start saving up those Medals in advance.
Along with the suits, weapons, and armor, the Warbond also includes three new stratagems and some cool cosmetic items like capes and player banners. One notable stratagem is the MGX-42 Bullet Storm, a support weapon that feels like an over-the-top machine gun firing tons of bullets fast. It’s expendable but perfect for laying down suppressive fire when your squad needs it.
This lineup feels designed to shake things up and give you more ways to customize your playstyle, whether you want to blast everything with firepower, tank damage with heavy shields, or move fast with boosted speed.
If you’re diving back into Helldivers 2, this Warbond is your ticket to some serious new toys and a fresh edge on the battlefield starting April 28.
